Before the holiday season begins, here is an intriguing selection of ideas about where to spend a long weekend. We selected the places not only considering the beauty of it, but also considering   transports, simplicity and, above all, food! try our boat and breakfast formulas

1. Iles Lerins

Antibes and Cannes are 15 minutes from Nice Airport, 10 minutes from Mougins – the capital of Nouvelle Cuisine – and 20 minutes from St. Paul de Vence, where you can have escargots by a fireplace and under an original Mondrian, or a Picasso. Or simply spend the night between the Islands of Sainte Marguerite and Saint Honorat, on one of our best sailboats. In our opinion, the best overall weekend you can treat yourself into… Prices from 300 euros per weekend per person – boat, sail and breakfast.

2. Naples, Capri and Ischia

‘It would be a perfect place, if only…’ so many people say when thinking about the gulf of Naples. Well, enjoy it from the safe isolation of a sailboat and the miracle happens. Amazing views, more history than you can shake a stick at, and unforgettable food. Capri, Ischia and the Amalfi Coast are unrivaled for a perfect romantic getaway. Prices from 280 euros per person, boat, sail and breakfast.

3. Bonifacio

Not an easy place to reach from the Island where it stands, Corsica, but an epic trip from the northwest of Sardinia through the wildest and most spectacular archipelago of the Mediterranean. Flights to Olbia. From 350 euros per person boat, sail and breakfast.

4. Kornati

The new flights to Zadar open this wild archipelago even for short term travelers. You basically leave Sibenik then sail back in a time where no modernity exists, only wind, sea and rocks. And sheep of course, brilliantly roasted by the fire in the local taverns. From 290 euros per person boat, sail and breakfast.

5. Egadi Islands

A quick flight to Trapani and you’ll land in a fantasy world of bright colors and outstanding flavors. Everything is close. Wild islands, fishing harbours,  simple taverns and famous vineyards. Sicily has probably the best fish on the planet, and the gentler climate of the Med.
