Roma, 29 ottobre 2018. A due anni dalla controversa assegnazione del Nobel per la Letteratura a Bob Dylan, l’Università degli studi Roma Tre celebra il cantautore americano con il convegno internazionale “Bob Dylan and the Arts. Masked and Anonymous: the Many Facets of the Art of Bob Dylan”.
Dal 29 al 31 ottobre 2018, nell’Aula Magna della Scuola di Lettere Filosofia Lingue dell’Ateneo, sedici esperti tra cui accademici, artisti e musicisti provenienti da tutto il mondo rifletteranno sui molteplici aspetti della produzione artistica di Dylan. Un confronto che partendo da musica e cinema, attraverserà pittura, teatro, letteratura, filosofia e religione, sulle tracce dell’identità cangiante e sempre mutevole di una tra le personalità più influenti e discusse degli ultimi sessant’anni.
“Abbiamo voluto rendere omaggio alla poetica di un grande artista, riunendo esperti e studiosi che insieme potranno elaborare spunti innovativi sulla poliedrica attività del menestrello di Duluth. Un modo per condividere con i nostri studenti e tutti gli appassionati un lavoro di ricerca e approfondimento che il settore disciplinare di ‘Lingua e Letterature Angloamericane’ dell’Ateneo porta avanti da tempo” ha dichiarato la Professoressa Maria Anita Stefanelli, docente dell’Università Roma Tre e curatrice dell’evento insieme al Dottor Fabio Fantuzzi.
La manifestazione sarà inaugurata dal Rettore Luca Pietromarchi e vedrà, nel corso delle giornate, la partecipazione di numerosi esperti “Dylanisti”. Tra questi Alessandro Carrera – docente della Houston University e premio Montale di poesia – parlerà del complesso rapporto tra Dylan e la cultura afroamericana o ancora David Pichaske – docente della South West Minnesota University – esplorerà il retroterra culturale del Midwest nelle sue canzoni e nelle opere del cantautore.
Una sessione speciale sarà dedicata all’opera pittorica del misterioso mentore di Bob Dylan, il Maestro Norman Raeben. Dei suoi lavori sarà presentata per la prima volta un’esposizione digitale, accompagnata dal commento dell’artista newyorchese Roz Jacobs, allieva del Maestro insieme a Dylan. Tra le attività in programma, il 30 ottobre si terrà il concerto-spettacolo “The Greenwich Village Folk Scene”, ideato dall’esponente del movimento del folk revival Newyorchese cantautore Chris Lowe, che ripercorrerà in musica la storia culturale del Greenwich Village.
